Dr. Spikes
Dr. Karen Spikes has been with A-Animal Clinic since May, 2005. Dr. Spikes attended Texas A & M, where she graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine. Her under- graduate focus was Biomedical Science and she is a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 1995. She and her husband, Newley, (TAMU class of 1996) own A-Animal Clinic & Boarding Kennel and have 3 boys, 2 dogs, and a cat.
Dr. Buchanan
Dr. Carol Buchanan is 1981 graduate with honors of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. B., as she prefers to be called, came to Fort Worth after graduation from veterinary school. After 20 years as a practice owner, Dr. B. became a member of the A-Animal family and has been with us since 2003. She has a special interest in complementary medicine and energetic healing methods, believing there is a strong connection between the mind, body, and spirit even in our little, furry companions. Dr. B. shares five wooded acres with 5 dogs, 3 cats, a feral cat colony, a fox den, raccoons, opossums, and a multitude of wild birds. She is a true animal lover and an asset to A-Animal Clinic & Boarding Kennel.
Dr. (Sorenson) Pugliano
Dr. Sarah (Sorenson) Pugliano graduated with high honors from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2008, and we are proud to have her here at A-Animal Clinic! She has a special interest in dentistry and internal medicine. Her goal is to be part of a team focusing on the improvement of the quality of her patients' lives and ultimately prolonging and enriching their relationship with their owners. Dr. Pugliano is married to Ryan. They have two cats, Alice & Demitri, as well as many fish.
Dr. McBroom
Dr. McBroom graduated from Texas A&M University Veterinary School in 1999 and has practiced small animal medicine in the Ft Worth/Arlington since graduation. She was a roommate to Dr. Spikes while in Veterinary school and remains a very close and special friend to the Spikes family. Dr. McBroom has 2 children, Brett and Megan, and is married to Chad, who teaches and coaches at Pantego Christian Academy in Arlington. The McBrooms have 1 beautiful lab, Maggie.
Dr. McCorkle
Dr. McCorkle was born and raised in Garland, TX. After graduating from Berkner High School in 2003, he spent one year at Collin County Community College in Plano, TX. In the fall of 2004, he transferred to Texas A&M University where he spent the next six years. Dr. McCorkle graduated from veterinary school in May 2010. He practiced at the Emergency Animal Hospital of Collin County from 2010-2012. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Jessica, since March 2011. He moved to Fort Worth at that time and they recently set roots here when they purchased a house in March 2012. They are covenant partners with The Paradox Church in Fort Worth, which is part of the Acts 29 Church Planting Network. They have 4 wonderful dogs: Zelda (Z Dub) the Border Collie mix, Sinsi (Sinsi Girl) the Rhodesian Ridgeback/German Shepard cross, Tabor (Tabor Tron) the Rat Terrier, and Mini (Mini Pooh) the teacup Chihuahua. Dr. McCorkle and his wife enjoy hanging out with friends, reading, watching movies, traveling to national parks, camping and hiking.
